Politicking

This past Tuesday was the New Hampshire Primary for this year's presidential candidates. Lacking anything substantial on TV we watched MSNBC that reported all day and night long about the election results. I have to admit it was extremely boring. These reporters talk non-stop day and night but have nothing worthwhile to say.

They literarily and repeatedly take the candidates apart. They analyze everything post-mortem and basically everything they say has tabloidish value.

We watched but we were only interested in the final numbers that came about 9 p.m.

Now that the New Hampshire show is over and all the candidates swore how much they all loved New Hampshire probably none will ever return to that state. Except maybe Bernie Sanders who represents the state in the Senate.

These people promise the world, lie through their teeth just to get the votes. But this is politics and I don't believe they are different in other countries.

When being a politician is a career honesty goes out the window. It is not an accident that most of the politicians are lawyers. As such they know exactly how to circumvent the law and how to get away with stuff.

It is a rare being who just plainly feels that he or she just wants to help people to have a better life. As peculiar as it sounds, Donald Trump might just be such a person.
